BBQ Apron to Keep Your Clothes from Grill and BBQ Stains

Stains from your BBQ grill can be very hard to remove, and
sometimes, using chemical stain removers can ruin your clothes. To prevent this from happening, you need to safeguard your clothes with an apron especially made for grilling purposes. This is called a BBQ apron.

Choosing the perfect BBQ apron is quite simple. You do not have to buy the expensive ones made of leather; a cheaper apron made of low-cost, non-stick materials can do the same job, and it will not cost you too much.

You only have a couple of things to consider in picking your apron. First, is the size. A good apron should cover your torso from the waist to the middle part of your chest. It is also good to pick one that will protect most of your thigh area, as this part is the most prone to spills and splashes.

The second thing to keep in mind is the color of your BBQ apron. Try to keep away from light colored ones, most especially white. BBQ marks can be nasty, and they can easily make your pretty, bright-colored aprons look ugly, especially if the stains are not thoroughly removed.

It would be a lot better if you pick a dark colored apron. It has many advantages. For one, you do not need to worry so much about having those unwanted reddish marks on your apron if you accidentally spilled your BBQ marinade to yourself.

Another thing, even if the stains are not thoroughly removed, at least they will not be noticeable.

Finally, consider the material your apron is made of. Fabrics may be more comfortable to wear, but non-stick materials, such as vinyl, are more ideal for barbequing as you can easily wipe off the stains from your apron.

Best of all, you will not have to spend many minutes getting them off by soaking and washing.

Taking care of Your Aprons

To prevent stains from sticking to your BBQ apron, you must wash it after use. If you used a cloth apron for grilling, it is best to have it soaked in warm water with some soap or detergent so that some of the grease and stains will be lifted off.

Keep the apron soaked for a couple of hours; this will make it easier to wash afterwards. If there are stubborn marks or stains left, you may use a mild stain remover.

Meanwhile, if it is made from vinyl or other non-stick material, you may just wipe your apron with a damp cloth to remove spilled sauces or marinades. In order to get rid of grease, you can use a little soap.

After washing, aprons should be hung outside to dry to properly air the material and avoid unwanted odors from sticking. After the aprons have been dried, fold them and keep in a safe, dry place.
