How to Get Great Tasting BBQ RibsThe rib is that part of a meat that is a bit tough to the bite. In
spite of this, the rib remains quite the favorite of a lot of people. It is easy to grill burgers and steaks but not so, when it comes to
cooking ribs especially when you wish to achieve that perfect grill at home.
BBQ ribs can be cooked just right when you know the proper steps in doing it.
First, it pays to know that barbecuing is slow cooking. A lot of people take time for granted when holding barbecue gatherings, so it helps to
acknowledge this fact about barbecuing early on.
When you barbecue, you are roasting the meat slowly until you attain the sumptuous delight of having a moist and tender meat that almost melts
from the bone without losing its meaty flavor.
When you barbecue ribs, this can be challenging since the meat may turn out tough after you have barbecued it. However, do not be discouraged
when this happens.
You just need to learn some pointers in order to get that perfect BBQ ribs that you can show off to your friends and family. Here are
some tips you can follow when cooking ribs especially barbecue:
Firstly, do not boil the ribs. People are into the practice of boiling meat to make them tender. This is common practice but
not when you plan to barbecue ribs.
Cooking ribs by boiling them loses the meat’s flavor so when you barbecue them; the tangy taste of ribs is no longer there but has already
mixed with the water. Bland taste is not something you want for your BBQ ribs.
Secondly, cook the ribs in low heat. Never fast-cook the ribs in high heat since this dry up the meat leaving it tough
to the bite. Ribs must be cooked in low fire (not more than 300 degrees) for quite a while until you see its meat tender and the juice is
streaming from the cooked meat.
Lastly, always marinade. In order for the flavor to fully seep into the meat, leave the ribs marinated for at least 12 hours.
It is better if you marinade them overnight for that goodness soak right to the bones.
Before pouring your choice of marinade, clean first the ribs by taking off the silver skin under the sides of the ribs. Be sure you get rid of
this skin since this prevents the flavor from seeping right through the meat’s fibers.
You might have the most tasteful marinade but if you forget to take this off, the outcome will be tasteless.
When cooking ribs and you want to have that smoky goodness, let your BBQ ribs drown in smoke. More smoke means better smoky
taste. Do not also let the ribs come in direct contact with fire or else you burn the ribs.
