How to Remove BBQ Stains From Your Clothes

When you stain your clothes while eating barbeques, it obviously
shows that you are so into barbecues especially in the most exciting digging-in part! BBQ stains you got from spilling some bbq sauce into your clothes or dropping a piece of the bbq onto it, can be real hard to take off. Cleaning hardened stains can be laborious. If you happen to stain your clothes, wash them with water right away so the stain will not harden. You can also use stain removers to get them off much quicker.

To rub away the bbq stains on your clothes and make cleaning easy, the following tips are helpful:

Firstly, immediately wash the clothes to get rid of the stain. Letting the stain sit for a few hours will make it more difficult for you to scrub them off. If you can change clothes at once, do so and soak the stained garment in warm water with soap.

Leave it a few minutes so the soap will loosen the stain. This is very important so you would not have to scrub that hard, damaging your clothes in the process. Scrub the stain and rinse thoroughly.

If the stains are on sensitive fabrics, read carefully the instructions on how to wash the said shirt so you can avoid ruining your clothes. Since some cloth fabrics are made with chemical-sensitive materials, they cannot stand anti-stain and bleaching formula.

Do not pour bleaching solutions to colored fabrics, as this will create a bleached spot in your clothes. Say goodbye to your clothes if they have bleach stains. Thus, you really have to be mindful and read the labels of your clothes thoroughly.

Secondly, as you wash the stain off your clothes, put detergent powder directly on the stained part and give it a good rub between your hands. Rub your clothes in a way that will remove the stain and not in a way that will tear your clothes’ fabric.

Avoid brushing the stain especially if the fabric is soft. Brushing can cause the cloth material to be brittle that is why they easily tear. Using a soft brush will do in cleaning bbq stains in denims and other tough fabrics.

Thirdly, if you cannot immediately wash off stains, give the stain a brief swipe off your clothes using clean paper towel. Blot out the mark gently until the tissue absorbs the sauce. Carefully do this so as not to smudge and spread the stain all over making it more obvious.

After taking out much stain while you were on the road, immediately change your clothes and wash them once you got home. Since the stain had already hardened by the time you got home, soak it a few minutes in soapy lukewarm water to soften the stain.

Use stain-removing formula only if the clothes permit it. Cleaning bbq stains can be real hard so next time you are having bbq’s, bring an extra shirt with you!
